Accessibility

We want the House to be easier to use, read, hear, and navigate.

Accessibility is part of how The House of Empire.SH is built. The goal is simple: visitors should be able to reach the content they need without unnecessary barriers.

On the Website

What we pay attention to.

Navigation

Clear headings, descriptive links, skip links, keyboard-friendly navigation, visible focus states, and layouts that work across common screen sizes.

Readable Content

Legible text, sensible spacing, adequate contrast, useful zoom behavior, and information that does not depend on color alone.

Images & Graphics

Meaningful images should have useful alternative text or nearby descriptions, while decorative visuals should not create unnecessary screen-reader noise.

Motion

Unnecessary flashing is avoided, reduced-motion preferences are respected where supported, and animation should not be required to understand essential information.

Audio, Video & Demonstrations

Important information should not depend on only one format.

Captions & Transcripts

Spoken media should include captions, transcripts, or another readable equivalent when appropriate and available.

Visual Demonstrations

Massage, movement, cooking, product, and other demonstrations should include enough written context to understand the essential steps and relevant safety information.

Sign-Language Access

Selected high-value media may receive sign-language interpretation where feasible. It supplements rather than replaces captions and readable text.

Documents & Downloads

Guides and worksheets should use readable text, meaningful headings, descriptive links, and accessible alternatives where practical for the format.

Language Access

Translation should improve access without lowering accuracy.

English is the current approved public website language. Additional language editions can be added after review for meaning, terminology, safety, Scripture accuracy where applicable, and accessibility.

If you encounter a navigation, reading, media, document, contrast, keyboard, or other accessibility barrier, use the Contact & Support page for the current reporting route. The online message form is not open yet, so that page will always state what contact options are actually available.
